General Guidelines for answers

 

1.     Nomination is compulsory for the Distinguished Government Employee Award, where every ministry / institution should nominate three employees, one staff member who is eligible to the award conditions will be nominated to each category of the three first award categories (Leading, Supervisory, Administrative / Technical, Support), the name of the institutions that did not nominate any of their employees will be announced during King Abdullah ׀׀ Award for excellence ceremony.

2.     Minister, Secretary General, or General Manager of the ministry / institution Can not be nominated, because they are honored through the wining of the ministry / institution.

3.      Previously nominated employees cannot be re-nominated in order to increase other employees chances in being awards candidates for all award categories .

4.     The nominated employee represents the elite of the ministry / institution that he represents, and so the selection of the nominated employee by his administration must be objective and genuine as it will reflect the image of the party he is representing.

5.     The ministry / institution must send a formal letter signed by the minister, the Secretary- General or the General Manager of the institution that declares  the names of the three nominated employees of the three categories and the category of each one of them, separately from the participation report.

6.     The nominated employee should prepare the participation report which contains his/her excellence indicators for each criterion and the attached documents in cooperation with his direct manager and concerned employees.

7.     The cover page should contain the ministry / institution name and its logo, the name of the award and the cycle “The King Abdulla ׀׀ Award for Excellence in Government Performance and Transparency – Fifth cycle (2010 / 2011)” Distinguished Government Employee Award, and the name of the nominated government employee and the nominated award category.

8.     The nominated employee for any category of the Distinguished Government Employee award categories must start the participation report by providing a brief summary of no more than one page including his personal information, data of his current job, joining date, the scope of his work, and his academic qualification, the brief must show the applicability of the special conditions of  the category that has been nominated for the employee.

9.     The nominated employee curriculum vitae (C.V.) and the ministry / institution organizational structure should be included in the participation report.

10.  Answers must be typed in Arabic using the (Simplified Arabic) font size 12, answers and pages must be numbered according to the Award’s Criterion s and sub-Criterion, and printing must be on only one side of the paper.

11.  Number of lines per page must not exceed 30 lines.

12.  Margins must be at least (1) inch from top and bottom, and (1.25) inch from both sides.

13.  All report pages must be numbered.

14.  The ministry / institution prepares the additional required documents and keep them until the evaluators make their field visit and view them if necessary.

15.  The ministry / institution reserve a special location in the offices for the assessors committee’s visit to the ministry or institution, and place the required documents in that location, the committee could ask for other documents should if the assessment process requires them.

16.  The assessment committee invites employees to the interview according to the Award’s criterion, as well as any other employee they deem necessary to interview when conducting the evaluation.

17.  The ministry / institution provide the Award’s administration with two copies of the participation report and the attachments.

18.  Information stated in the participation report and attached documents will be handled in complete confidentiality and in a place of interest and care by KACE and the assessment committee.

19.  The number of the pages of the participation report and the attached documents must not exceed what is cleared in the table below:
